Thanks y'all for the cordial homecoming, although the fish in the pic is not a salmon in fact but a steelhead. This particular critter was a native female (note the adipose fin intact behind the dorsal) south fork clearwater river b-run. On the clearwater river there are two types of steelhead, A-run and B-run. A-run fish are generally smaller than b-run and are not looking to spawn in the cleawater but the snake or salmon rivers. During the fall, the water in the snake is still pretty warm so the A-run fish swim up the cooler water of the Clearwater until the snake cools down. It can be pretty fun because you get two chances to catch 'em, when they swim up and when they swim down. The B-run fish are much larger, up to 25 lbs or so, and are bound for the south fork clearwater, selway, and lochsa rivers. Idaho is also the only inland state with steelhead runs. Now you know.

...and that would be because the Snake River ties into the Mighty Columbia River which, of course, runs to the sea...Steelhed being rainbow trout that have migrated to the ocean, hung out for a while, then go back up river to spawn and die. Am I correct, Hognutz? Am I huh?
That whole story sounds fishy to me!
Nice floors, Maple?
I don't see a layout line across the room with those tiles, is it just an entry into the room?
shows t'go ya how much I know about fish.
I just eat it.
I love a good tile entry, and a wood floor. How's about shooting me the address in an e-mail. That is ONLY if you have actually commenced to living and accepting mail there.
